| We did not apply service pack 3, but we recently have applied service pack 3a on a few of our servers. We have not experienced any problems. There is already a security patch out for service pack 3a and it can not be applied to service pack 2, so you will need to apply service pack 3a in order to be up to date with the security patches.Tara |

| We did not apply SP3 nor SP3a. But we're looking forward to MS fix the problems reported on ms forums or document the workarounds for problem found on SP3, to apply SP3a. Thats because SP3a has the same fixes than SP3. But the rule is, test on non production server before applying to prodution.regards,Sérgio MonteiroTrust in no Oracle |

SP3a actually has more more than what service pack 3 has. It fixes some problems with service pack 3. They both include the same fixes but service pack 3a has additional fixes in it. There was a Webcast that MS did that explained the differences between the two.Tara |

| Sometime I dó not explain myself in a clear way. (English is not my best nor my medium strength. I live in Brazil, and you know, we're a subdeveloped people, with a subdeveloped brain.)I know that SP3a has fixes to SP3. I thought that it was clear. And I Attended the webCast, and downloaded the presentation.regards,Sérgio MonteiroTrust in no Oracle |

I think that I should probably just assume that you know everything and that our differences are probably just in the translation. quote: Originally posted by shsmonteiro I know that SP3a has fixes to SP3. I thought that it was clear. And I Attended the webCast, and downloaded the presentation.
Ah, so you were the one person attending the webcast from South America. I attended it as well and looked at the map to see how many people were attending it and from where. I'm waiting for the written transcript so that I can read the parts that I wasn't paying attention to (was trying to work at the same time). I'll have to check the site to see if the transcript is available yet.Tara |
