I have seen many jobs on monster.com and indeed.com and all the jobs for SQL DBA requires atleast 3 years experience. Then how can a newbie get a dba job? |

Here are a few ideas:- if you have development experience, focus on how it relates to Database- look for Junior DBA positions- keep on working at things and reading in your spare time, at least this will help in an interview |

You can try for the positions, but be honest about your level of experience.djj |

It is my experience that most work ads overstate the requirements; they ask for three years but will find one year acceptable.
