Hello all,
I have the same stored procedure under the same databases in
2 different server (Development and Test).
If I modify (with ALTER) the stored in Development (also without any
change) I got this error:

An explicit value for the identity column in table 'cjeipLog..tMainDocuments'
can only be specified when a column list is used and IDENTITY_INSERT is ON.

If I alter the stored in Test environment, it successfully complete.

The tables and the stored are exactly the same.

Why this happens?

Thanks a lot.

Luis

You can verify the table 'cjeipLog..tMainDocuments' if it has (on Dev and Test env) an identity column .
Seems that you try to insert value into a identity column

Can you post, here, the definition of the stored procedure , and table (from Dev and from Test) ?

Hi Sabin,
the problem was due that the tables are different. Who send me the definition of the 2 tables
get the values from the same database.
Sorry for that, but thanks a lot all the same.

Luis
