HiWe do face the problem in our sql server 2008 server 100% cpu usage by sql server.exe always, hence the Application is very slow. I have found that the issue because of (SPID = 10) which is the Background process -- CHECKPOINT. How to solve this issue, is there way to kill/stop the particular SPID 10.Thank you.RegardsSSM |

How did you determine the checkpoint is the culprit? Have you looked at I/O in PerfMon, specially Avg Writes and Reads/sec? Are you seeing averages be over 12ms sustained?Tara KizerSQL Server MVP since 2007http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |
