I want to create a full text index on a text column.As with other indexes, can this possibly degrade performance of inserts and modifications to this column? |

Depending on how you schedule the updates, but yes it can as it needs to write this value back out to another catalogue. If you schedule this to update instantly, it will affect any inserts and if you schedule it, it will affect inserts/updates while running, much the same as any other index will. |
