Hi, I am trying to install SQL server 2012 and 2014, however I always reach this problem. The error message I always get is Error installing SQL server Management Services, Could not write value to key\SOFTWARE. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. Error Code: 406I went to this link to help resolve this issue http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/913559however, I could never find out what this is: For each subkey, follow these steps:Click the subkey.Delete the InstanceComponentSet.# string value in the right panel. Notice that # is a number, and the value of this key is {66563AD8-637B-407F-BCA7-0233A16891AB}.Does anyone experience this, and how they could help me resolve this issue? Thank you!!! |
