Dear All,

I would like to do the following at database level.

1. I would like to know the current activities for a database
2. Which users initiated the above activities and what query they
fired
3. I would also like to keep a history of the above

What counters should I use and how do I maintain a history..???

Pls. help

sp_who2 will tell you the current activity on the database. DBCC INPUTBUFFER (process id) will show you the code being executed by each user process.

You could also run SQL Profiler to get detailed information. I would not recommend maintaining a history though because you are going to be tracking quite a bit of information.
