There is a Principle :
- keep mdf files on a disk and ldf file on another disk for better performance
And now most of the servers are virtual.
Are the Drives in Virtual servers Are equal to Disks in Physical serevrs? and keep data file and log file to 2 drives make a better performance?
Thanks

It doesn't matter if your server is physical or virtual, the best practice still applies of separating your files. Whether or not the drives are equal is dependent upon your hardware and how it is configured.

Yes it can and will make the server perform better. Whether or not is noticeable would be based on your hardware, settings and workload.
