| Hi, Since a select from a table took 7 mins which had just 1 row but no indexes, So I built the missing index but while users are running processes which access this table. Will anything bad happen apart from slowing the process more? Thanks,Sarat**To be intoxicated is to feel sophisticated, but not be able to say it.** |

| No. But I remember one situation in which DBCC caused so many blocks that users just hit CTRL-C to exit application leaving ghost connections, eating all SQL Server Resources. Well, you know the end.regards,Sérgio MonteiroTrust in no Oracle |
