Author  Topic  Jay99 468 Posts Posted - 2001-05-04 : 12:09:30 In 7, its as simple as sp_detach_db . . . move the files . . .sp_attach_db. Works just like moving a user db. In 2K, when I sp_detach_db 'MSDB', I get "Server: Msg 7940, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 System databases master, model, msdb, and tempdb cannot be detached." what gives? Jay
