| Jono writes "HiWe have well over 100 SQL servers in our organisation and want to use a central store for registration of these servers. The groups come up but the servers don't from the central server. I found Q280836 refering to this problem but the workaronud it gives is simply to register the server locally. What kind of a workaround is that? Does anyone know how to fix this problem because unless I am mistaken it seems to me that this is a known issue which no-one (company not mentioned) plans on re-visiting. Any ideas? Thanks guys-Jono" |

| I am not understanding the problem. What do you mean by central server? To connect to a server using EM, you need to register it on the client. Could you explain what it is you are trying to accomplish?BTW, I would not recommend registering 100 servers in EM. It will take a long time to connect to servers due to how EM works. It goes out and checks for the status of each of the servers when you pull it up.Tara |
