| Jim writes "Using SQL Server 6.5 (plz don't laugh - we're upgrading soon!) to setup SQLMail. Tested the Exchange ID that will be used with Outlook Express; good to go on SEND/RECEIVE. Configured SQLMail with same ID/PW. SQL Mail starts successfully, but xp_sendmail is executed, SQL Server locks-up and the server must be restarted.Didn't see anything in the Administrators Guide. Any ideas?" |

| Are both services configured to log on with the SQL Mail account? The services are MS SQL Server and SQL Executive, if I can remember correctly.I'm not sure that Outlook Express is what you want on the server. Try Outlook instead.Tara |
