| Michael writes "I have the Microsoft SQLServer 2000 Developer Edition.The computer is an HP Pavilion pc with windows 98 2nd edition.The first message that displays when installing sqlserver:"This operating system does not support SqlServer 2000. Can only install the client software".When I get to "Installation Definition" response window I can notselect the radio button "Server and Client Tools" (It is greyed out). I installed the Client tool only but there is no database installed.I tried to look on the cd for the server engine install file, but it was not there. This is a new copy of SQServer 2000 Developer Edition with service pack 3. Thanks in advance for any help!" |
