Hello,

We are having a few issues since web-server is using SQL Server 7, and our internal server is running SQL Server 2000. When setting up Trans. Replication from the internal server to the web-server, we received this error message:

You must upgrade the Subscriber to SQL Server 2000 to create updatable subscriptions to SQL Server 2000.

We know that we'll have to upgrade the web-server to solve a lot of these problems, but I was wondering if someone knew the basic steps we should take to upgrade all of the data. Or if someone could point me to a good resource that contains these basic steps. My NA is really nervous about having problems with the databases when upgrading, so any & all advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Take a look at the articles section on SQLTeam. This information has been discussed at length here, so also do a search on the forums.
