| hi,.LDF is 2+gb and .MDF is 185mb we are populating this db for the first time, now i cant do any update to the db. thx for any help.thxpeera |

| What recovery model is the database set to? If FULL, then are you performing transaction log backups? If not, then you'll need to or set it to SIMPLE. To clear up the used space in the LDF, just run BACKUP LOG DBNameGoesHere WITH NO_LOG.Then you can run DBCC SHRINKDATABASE and/or DBCC SHRINKFILE to shrink the size of the file.Tara |
