hi
where do i set the t-log save on check point, i dont see this on db options using sql 2000 ent ed, and when does the auto update statics occur

Transaction log save on checkpoint? Do you mean SIMPLE database recovery model? Auto update statistics occurs when SQL Server needs it.

Why not just use SIMPLE database recovery model?
