| Desktop "support" made their rampage last night in their effort to "standardize" the company to Windows 2k (just in time for the next release).ANYWAY...ALL of my client tools are gone...I mean all SQL, ERWIN, Artisan...I installed 6.5 no problem, and now it's telling me to install 2k, that 6.5 sp5 is required for this installation....huh?I don't remember this problem...Looked to try and unistall 6.5, but it's not in the add/remove program list....HELP!Brett8-) |

| To answer your original question, yes you need service pack 5a for SQL Server 6.5 in order to install SQL Server 2000. You've already got 6.5 uninstalled, but for others looking for this answer you remove 6.5 through the SQL setup program. That sucks what desktop support did to your machine. Did they send an e-mail out letting people know about the drastic change?Tara |
