I have IIS and SQL 2000 running on the same server.I'd like to keep an eye on when traffic may be pushing the server to it's limit. What are the best tools to watch CPU load, memory and otherwise track resource usage?Sam

OK. If PM shows the CPU pegging at 100% for a couple of seconds, is that a concern and what would be the next step?

For a couple of seconds, no that is not a concern. When you see peaks and valleys in the graph for PM, then you are usually ok. It is when it stays flatline above say 80% that you could have a problem. There are other CPU counters that you should check to see if you are a CPU bottleneck. Head over to sql-server-performance.com to see what counters are suggested. That site has some excellent information. It lets you know what the threshold values should be.Tara
