I am trying to install service pack 3 for SQL 2000 on a WIN NT box. It seems not to be working. Are there any known errors or reasons for failure when doing this. I did not see the error msg as an operator answered it, and then said he did not remember what it said.Oh I am going to try installing SP2 and if that fails then SP1 and then try going up to SP3. hopefully something works. All help appreciated.

We are currently trying to install the sp3a on our Windows 2000 machine in a cluster environment and we are having difficulties as well. The information we used to help with the sp was the read me file for the service pack. Any help anyone can give is appreciated.Karen

I also went and looked in the Event View and the following warning is in there :SuperSocket info: (SpnRegister) : Error 1355. The setup seems to stop at this point.

I applied SP2 and it worked. However the machine is running on a IBM NETfinity card and we had a few problems restarting it. I am not sure if that was the cause. I will try SP3 at a later date. All help appreciated.
