| Mitesh writes "I have SQL 2000 as a database. WE have this scheduled a task that will run batch file that will close sql database everyday at 8.00 at night and then restart it next dat at 8.00 in morning . This process was working fine till couple of days before. Since last 2 days we are getting this this error saying "Falied to close <database name> Cleanly" and when you go to enterprice manager and look at database it shows as follows .......<Database Name>(Suspect) -----> and this is greyed out . ............ no items found and when you click on database name its says no item found. Since last 2 days i then detach the database and re-start the server machine and then attach the database and then everything is fine. i want to know what could be the problem..?
