| I monitor approximately 7 SQL servers. I want a tool that will poll them all and alert me whenever one goes down. The prefered alert method is email. I would like to know where I can find a tool like this.All help appreciated. |

| "Goes down" mean the SQL server is not accesiblle over the network. The situation I am speaking of may not be caused by SQL server problem, hence no error messages are sent.All help appreciated. |

| You could use Microsoft MOM as a solution. If you've got Compaq servers, you could use Compaq Insight Manager as well. I'm sure other hardware vendors have a similar tool.Tara |
