| an uninstallation wouldn't delete the MDF and LDF files, would it?couldn't you just put those somewhere safe, reinstall, and re-attach?- Jeff |

Yeah, and that is what I did to get it back up. It was the initial freak out when I realized I removed the wrong instance and immediately had people start to come up to me. Justin"I want to thank you. You could've given us help, but you've given us so much more." |

| I think the answer is that the network has been updated to protect against the mydoom virus and it takes the wins server a bit of time to clear it's cache.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
