Is there a way to create a role that has EXECUTE permissions all SPs in DB, and will automatically include any new SPs that are created?

Running:
SS2K SP3a
W2K AS SP3

Search the forums for isp_Grant_Permissions. It's a stored procedure that I wrote that grants permissions to objects. You can schedule it to run if you want it to do it "automatically" (although with some latency).

I include a GRANT statement in the template I use for all my stored procs.

It's really easy to do things the way you want them the first time

Tara, thanks for sharing your GRANT SP. This will be very helpful.

Damian, your approach is an excellent idea!

Many thanks to both of you. You have solved my problem.

Jim
