| Hi, I have a table 'TEMP' which owns by user 'SCOTT'. I logined using the user 'SCOTT' and try to fetch the data without specifying schema name. select * from TEMP. Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line 1Invalid object name 'TEMP'.I getting the above error.while i execting with schema name.select * from scott.TEMP.I getting the required output.Is it possible to fetch the data without specifying schema name??Plz help me.The owner of the table TEMP is scott. |

| I don't think this is possible. When you don't type the schema name sql server tries the default which is "dbo" and if that doesn't exist it throws an error. Typing out the scame name will also increase performance a little bit as sql server itself doesn't have to resolve the owner...--Lumbago |
