hi,

I need to generate scripts for some sp's in my database. For this i follow the below procedure.

Right click on database --> Tasks--> Generate Scripts --> next select the database --> here comes the problem

Here i need to set some options before move forward. They are
SCRIPT DROP --> TRUE
INCLUDE IF NOT EXIST --> TRUE
USE DATABASE --> FALSE.

But iam not getting the option SCRIPT DROP to select it as TRUE. Please tell me how can i make SCRIPT DROP option to appear for me.
Please help me ASAP.

Thanks in Advance..

I would say that you do not have permissions to drop objects. Have you checked that you have these permissions?

Also, are you using SP2?

You still did not check to see if you had permissions?

Oh, and you do not have any Service Packs on your SQL Server, that is the Original release.

In Management Studio, check under the Security branch. Click your user and see what Server Roles you have, if it is not sysadmin, check user mappings and see what roles you have on the database.

And if you read Tara's link, and you do not have any services packs, it's not going to work anyway. She discusses SP1 and the lack of this functionality.

If you have SP2 installed in the server then version is to be 9.00.3042.

Please try to use T-SQL

use Master
go
drop procedure <Procedure_Name>
go

Make sure you have proper permission before using this.
