| Just disable your transaction log backup job and switch your recovery model to SIMPLE. SQL Server will still use the transaction log. There is no way to avoid this. It just depends on what your recovery model is that will change if the transactions are stored after they have completed.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Database maintenance routines:http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/archive/2004/07/02/1705.aspx |

| Then do the migration in smaller batches so that there is minimal data in the transaction log.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Database maintenance routines:http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/archive/2004/07/02/1705.aspx |
