For logins, I just use this: http://www.sqlmag.com/article/articleid/16090/16090.htmlFor jobs, I script them out on the source and then run that script in the destination. We don't save anything in model, so I don't need to transfer anything for that.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Subscribe to my blog

I do not provide that information on the Internet. You can use the email option in my profile or on my blog. When I reply to it, you will see my email. Be warned though that my support will not be cheap.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Subscribe to my blog

Microsoft provided script for transfering logins from 2000 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2005.With the help of 2 sp you should be able to do that,1) sp_help_revlogin and 2) sp_hexadecimalYou can find those sp's from MS site as well.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/246133For jobs and DTS package you may need to script it out.ManojMCP, MCTS

I would not move SYSTEM, MASTER FILES FROM SQL 2000 TO SQL 2005 they are completely different now...Just install SQL 2005 on the server.Do backup SQL 2000 then in SQL 2005 Restore.Do the logins as listed below on SQL 2000 it generates a text file..then in SQL QUERY IN SQL 2005 just do execute.
