| It depends on no of CPUs. We go with default and let SQL server decide on it. |

ok... let's say you have 1 cpu, duo core, 64 bit.How many worker threads can be used?On the syssubsystems table, does the max_worker_threads correspond to the total or per CPU?The default does not work for us anymore.. I see queued up jobs.But I managed to reach a magic number (but not optimum since it was an educated guess) and that solved our problem.What I'm really asking is a formula or best practice.
