Can we configure a db to terminate idle sessions automatically?

Why you want to terminate those?Apps might be using/reusing for connection pooling.

But I would like to know if there is a way at DB level to automatically terminate the sessions which are idle for a long time?

In tools-options-Query Execution -Advanced-disconnect after query executes . But don't recommend doing this.

This option doesn't work on remote app connections, should do that on client side.
