| Hey allHope all's well. I would like to move my SQL DBs to another server. I have two options:1. Move it to a server that's on the existing domain.2. Move it to a server that is not within the domain.I haven't done this before so would like to know what your opinions are in terms of any security issues? My main concern is: If I move it to the one outside the domain, would I be able to access it from outside the domain?Any other guidance will be highly appreciated! Many thanks,Rupa |

| If you are relying on Windows Authentication then this may be an issue , as far as your existing Windows Authentication users are involved. If you have SQL Server Authentication - and you can access the server over the network , with correct ports etc , then you should be able to accessJack Vamvas--------------------Search IT jobs from multiple sources- http://www.ITjobfeed.com |
