| Folks:I have got the statistics on SQL 2005 for AVG. DISK READ/WRITES per second but would like to know what is the bottom line (how do we know we are crossing the threshold?). We Use RAID 5 on SAN (12 disks) for mdf and ldf files and RAID 1 for tempdb. Here are the stats for 24 hours:DISK 1 (RAID 5) - WRITE PER SEC : 3.82DISK 1 (RAID 5) - READ PER SEC : 131.45DISK 1 (QUEUE LENGTH) : 2.08DISK 1 (BUSY PERCENT) : 59 %DISK 2 (RAID 5) - WRITE PER SEC : 11.79DISK 2 (RAID 5) - READ PER SEC : 490.56DISK 2 (QUEUE LENGTH) : 24.85DISK 2 (BUSY PERCENT) : 60 %DISK 3 (RAID 1) - WRITE PER SEC : 12.85DISK 3 (RAID 5) - READ PER SEC : 21.59DISK 3 (QUEUE LENGTH) : 0.74DISK 3 (BUSY PERCENT) : 46 %Thanks ! |
