Hi Experts,

Can Anyone let me know while shrinking the file which is Primary File has generated the message.

DBCC SHRINKDATABASE: File ID 1 of database ID 80 was skipped because the file does not have enough free space to reclaim.

Ensure target size you specified is bigger than db used size.

I am new for this.

Can You be specific of target to the DB Used size, as how I need to monitor and steps to tackle.

You can get used size by running sp_spaceused under the db. If used size is 10gb, target file size in dbcc should be bigger than that like:

dbcc shrinkfile (file_name, 11000)
