| Hi allWe have developed a product using sql server 2005 express/standard as backend. We are selling to various customers. We dont want to give access to view are modify Tables,SPs and design.After installing SQL server, I am running a sql script to modify SA user and to create new application user names with password and we pack this part as MSI files.I want to restrict windows authentication. the databases should be only accessed thru Applications.Please Help to do this. |

| Will removing any system accounts do the trick? eg BUILTIN\Administrators |

| You can create SP's "with encryption" to hide their contents. MAKE SURE however you are using a "source control" system so that you can have a private copy saved in readable text.I don't think customers however would appreciate you requiring them to remove "BUILTIN\ADMINistrators" automatically in order to use your software. There may be a good reason to do so.....but it should be a local business "choice". |

Learn about Encryption in SQL 2005. |
