| Hi,I've HP Server with SmartArray Raid controller.i use 2 disk in mirror for the system operation and SQL Server Binaries,2 disk in mirror for the SQL Server Log files(LDF), 4 disk in raid5 for the SQL Server Data files (MDF).after that i create those Raid Array i need to format the partition,is there any meaning on how i format those partition concerning the Allocation Unit Size?THX |

| Use 64k block size. By the way, get another array for tempdb if possible. |

| If you have four disks why not RAID 10 for the data? Are you backing up to the data volume? |

actually it's 3 disk and 1 is an global hot spare. |
