I'm installing a cluster for the first time, and am not sure if I'm going about it right. We're trying to install an Active/Passive cluster. The systems administators here have already installed the Windows cluster (two W2K Adv. Server machines), and I went to try and install SQL Server 2000 Enterprise on the cluster this afternoon, and ran into a weird problem.

When I get to the screen to specify an instance name, the default instance box is greyed out and unchecked. To install an Active/Passive cluster, I would have to check that box to use the default instance, correct?

Is there somewhere I have to specify that I'm installing and Active/Passive cluster?

TIA!
