Hello -

I am trying to create the job in sql server 2005. This job is already working in sql server 2000. I extracted the script and trying to execute in sql server 2005.

Error :

Msg 14234, Level 16, State 1, Procedure sp_verify_job, Line 243
The specified '@notify_email_operator_name' is invalid (valid values are returned by sp_help_operator).

Please advise on this.

Cheers :)

In your SQL Server 2000 job, you've got an operator assigned. And in SQL Server 2005 that operator doesn't exist. So either remove the operator from 2000 and then rescript, modify the script to remove that part of the code, or add the operator to SQL Server 2005.

Also make sure DBmail is configured/working if you are migrating operators to SQL 2005

Just script out Operators from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
