Hi All,Faced with using a SQL Server 2005 that is SAN attached however the application files were installed on the SAN Storage. The performance of the server seems poor and the server it self is high spec.Is the application files installed on the SAN storage a performance issue? Is it possible to relocate these files back to a local drive?Regards and thanks,Cormac

Hi,I'm referring to the program files. The database files are also installed on the SAN storage, which is what is to be expected. However the whoever did the initial install may have confused which drives were local and which were SAN, so they installed the program files on SAN storage too.Regards,Cormac

Figured as much. But is it an issue. I assume it is but can't find any confirmation information that it is an issue.
