| Hi I currently have a DB server, SQL2005 and I am beginning to see some performance issue due to our clientele growing so rapidly. I have another SQL server and would like to setup load balancing so the DB1server doesn't get hit so hard. I'd like to have the traffic segregated onto two servers instead of one. I am using Microsoft load balancing in my web environment and it works great can I do the same with my SQL db servers?Tommy |

| We do however we are having too much traffic hit one server and I have never clustered servers before so I am trying to learn how to do that and if there is any performance loss once its set up. |

| Clusters will not load balance. Unlike Web Services, SQL does not support clusters as a load balancing method. Clusters are only for fail over support in case of hardware failure.I have the same issue.
