hi guys, need your expert advise on this.we've .net application that has sql server 2005 (standard edition) as backend. we've over 300 clients and many of them asking for replication for offline use of our app. we are looking for a generic solution to implement replication . can you advise how to set this up or some resources I can go thru ?

Please let me know if I need to provide any more info to answer my question. thanks for your advise.

Cheers

sodeep,
datbase can be very big (biggest so far is 100gb). offline use I mean , our clients are doctors and some times they go offsite for practice and want to access our app on their laptop. initially we thought we could ask users to remote login (i mean RDP,cisco etc.,) but many places these doctors go either internet is too slow or wont have any internet connections!

to rephrase my question, how to implement replication in such mass scale efficiently. by the way many of these clients will not have any IT person to look after their databases so it's only us.so we want better/easier way of doing this.

Cheers

Do they need the full 100G, or can they use just a small subset when they're on the road ?

most probably full 100g. but we'll have to include an option to get subset of data also.
