I know this is not a CA-ArcServe backup for windows forum but maybe someone is in the same situation...We are in the process of upgrading from ArcServe backup for Windows r11.5 to r12.0.We intend to use our existing SQL Server 2000 installed on a 2 nodes MSCS cluster. This SQL Server installation host already a lots of databases and for backup and restore of these db we DO NOT use any agent but SQL Server native tools and we are just happy with that.My question is related to the possibility to upgrade our r11.5 ArcServe to a r12.0 and don't use SQL Agent for protecting the db.We would like to take care of the ArcServe database backup and transaction log backup with SQL Server native tool, as we do for all other db.Possible alternative? Please advise.Franco |
