I was recently troubleshooting a slow running query on a server by running SQL Profiler when the machine rebooted. Once it came back up, I setup my trace and started again and once again it rebooted. I don't see anything in any of the error logs indicating why. My assumption is its running the machine out of resources but was curious if anyone else has seen this.

Thats why you shouldn't run Profiler in Remote Server for Long time. Search for Server-side traces which will consume minimal resources.
