Donot shrink as it will cause fragmentation and disorganize data and index pages. Isn't it possible to increase disk space at any chance?

Hi sodeep,

Could you please tell me why if I use to shrink the data using lepeniotis advice. disorganize the data and index and the table will be defragmented.

Thank you so much for the reply. I highly appreciated.

Ward regards,
Andrian

Shrinking reshuffles index and data pages and they are not in order and result in Internal and External Fragmentation and you will see performance issues.Try to increase space instead.
