Which is the best editor for editing large files? I used recently UltraEdit, it took me around one hour, after tweaking some configurations, to find-replace , a 20GB file.Is anyone using a better editor? Also, I thought, probably using a utility(.exe) would be faster in find and replace than an editor. There are some utilities available on Google, however has anyone done this kind of work? Does anyone use such utility? Kind regards. ------------------------I think, therefore I am - Rene Descartes |

Why are you editing files this large in the first place? If you can, import them into staging tables and edit what you need there. |

BULK INSERT or BCP was not able to understand the end-of-line character in the input text file, so I was trying to insert a custom delimeter.------------------------I think, therefore I am - Rene Descartes |
