John writes "My question has to do with connecting to SQL server. We have recently converted some of our databases to SQL 7 from 6.5. We've also just started using NT Authentication for our applications. During testing, all worked well. However, once we got it out on the floor we would occasionally get 'failed login' messages in the SQL log. We checked with the users, and they would occasionally (not always) be unable to connect to the server. They would get the following error(s):
Invalid connection string attribute
Client unable to establish connection.
We use named pipes. If I logged onto the PC I could connect. If the original user tried, she would not be able to connect. This only happens to a few users, and only occasionally. Any suggestions as to where to look would be appreciated.
Thanks.
