Just out of curiosity.... if you have any idea...appreciate itPython and some other programming languages have a "pickle" function. You can write out an arbitrary data structure to secondary storage and read it in again at a later date. Why don't we forget database management systems and use pickle functions?(b) It is possible that in a year or two, laptops will come with a terabyte of disk space. What new problems will confront the owners of such laptops?(c) Now that we have the Web, why don't we put all our data in HTML pages and let search engines to find the stuff we need? |
