Hello all,
For some reason I am getting an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. This just started occuring the last few weeks. Can anyone help me figure out why suddenly this is happening.

I have jobs that executes a stored procedure that sends mail and this is the error (it does not happen all the time)

This is the version of SQL Server: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.2039 (Intel X86) May 3 2005 23:18:38 Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

This is in the dump file:
SqlDumpExceptionHandler: Process 58 generated fatal exception c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server is

terminating this process..

This is an unhandled exception in SQL Server code. This could be due to lots of different reason, including bug, corruption, HW issues etc..

To understand the root cause, one has to look at the dump files, only MS support would be able to help with that.
