Hi,

Could anyone provide some inputs of pros and cons of Central/local distribution server models for transactional replication? Also any benchmarkings for both the models?

It is recommended that you put the distributor on a remote server if your transactional replication is going to be high volume. We just put it either on the publisher or on the subscriber since our load isn't too high. You'll need to do performance testing to see what works best for you.
