 how to create indexes on a very large table

Dear All,

I have a question that if there is a very large table of more than 40 GB size and having one clustered index and some other non-clusterded indexes ,and i want to rebuild the indexes then what is efficient way to do this.

better do it off-line even though 2k supports on on line it is not advisable to create while dml operations is going on

and make sure you do it at a comparatively idle time not to create a bottleneck

SQL 2000 doesn't support online indexing.

Steel,
Use Tara's script and do it in offline hours.
