Dear Memebers,

I want to stop normal users to create or delete any Database. At the present scenario, our SA password is blank. It is hard coded to the front end softwares also. Is it possible to change the rights for SA. I mean to say that through Sa user(s) can only do the alteeration to tables (Modification, deletion etc) but should not able to create or delete the Database.

Can anyone halp me in this regards? Very despratly I need this.

Do not change the sa account, ever! You could seriously break SQL Server.

Figure out what permissions the application needs then create a new user with those permissions. Then reset the password and never give it out to anyone.

Thanks Tara for quick response.

But as I mentioned that SA is hard coded in the softwares alsoa dn we do not have the Software Coding.

I want to change the rights for SA only so.....is it possible. could u pls help me in thi regards.
