I installed sql server 2005 on my system.when i I installed sql server 2005 on my system.when i opened sql server configuration manager, then i found there written-"mmc could not create snap in".when i searched for this problem, then i got the solution as (elect Run from the Start menu and enter "mmc" to open an empty console. Under the File menu select "Add/Remove Snap-in". Click "Add" under opened sql server configuration manager, then i found there written-"mmc could not create snap in".when i searched for this problem, then i got the solution as (elect Run from the Start menu and enter "mmc" to open an empty console. Under the File menu select "Add/Remove Snap-in". Click "Add" under Console Root and select the "Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager" snap-in.Close windows until you are back to the mmc, and save it under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn (assuming you installed SQL Server 2000 in the default location).) but i canaot find here"Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager" snap-in after the add part.when i saw it i found that my sql server was installed in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\EULA rather than in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn.plz help me-what steps to take further. |

It is possible that your issue revolves around that you have installed SQL Server Studio Management Studio (SSMS), which is the client toolkit related to SQL Server 2005. SSMS is Visual Studio based not MMC based , hence you wouldn't see it in the Add Standalone snap in section. Have you installed the SSMS client ?Jack Vamvas--------------------http://www.ITjobfeed.com |
